I had the pleasure of personally talking with Kobra Paige. A true inspiration to muscians and young women everywhere. One of the most kind hearted people, and extremely talented. I asked her a few questions about the band, the music and the crazy stories of the things that happen when on tour.
1. Who are your musical influences?
Kobra: Classic Rock, Led Zepplin, Judas Priest, Devin Townsend, Iced Earth, Dio, and Pink Floyd.
2. When and how did Kobra and the
Lotus come about?
Kobra: I found them through the classifieds actually and we started jamming and then we started writing our own music.
3. What is the craziest thing you have ever seen at a show?
Kobra: (Laughs) Oh boy. One time at a show a guy came wearing nothing but a thong, and the color matched his mohawk. Would dance crazy in front of the stage.
4. What is the craziest thing you have ever autographed?
Kobra: Oh god, Boobs, Mens chests, Expensive leather jackets, Guitars, a butt cheek, oh and one time I autographed a giant rubber duck.

5. Do you have any pre-show rituals?
Kobra: I have to stand on the opposite side of the stage, and I walk across the stage and either high five or fist pump each one of the band members, like a "Lets rock this" good luck thing.
6. What is one thing you have to always have on stage with you?
Kobra: I always have to have my prayer beads I got from India. And on the bus I always have to have a lion and always some other animal. Sometimes a bear or something else.
7. What is the hardest thing about being on tour?
Kobra: It's so hard to be healthy on tour. It's hard to find the foods that I can eat, and sleep is always an issue. Because after a show I get so pumped and I stay up and all because I am wired and then I don't go to bed late.
I must say this interview was one of my favorites. To get to know someone and talk with them as if I have known her my whole life. A truely amazing person, and an amazing band. Thank you Kobra for letting me do this!
